Repair CAFE
Saskatoon Makerspace in partnership with Affinity Credit Union, Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council, and The Library of Things offers FREE community repair cafes because the more we can repair, the longer products stay in circulation, and this means less waste!
Mend Repair Café
Reduce • Reuse • Repair
Mend Repair Café is part of the “Mend: Reduce, Reuse, Repair” initiative—a community-driven project dedicated to sustainability, education, and empowerment. Hosted every Saturday of the month from 1–4 PM, these free events offer a collaborative, hands-on environment where our volunteers can help fix everyday items and keep them out of the landfill.
Bring in your broken or worn-out belongings—whether it’s a small electronic device, a wobbly chair, a torn jacket, or even a bicycle—and skilled volunteers will help you through the repair process. Each session focuses on a different category of repairs, such as:
Small Electronics
Fabric & Sewing
Woodworking
Bicycles
Household Items
Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people of all skill levels can learn practical repair techniques, promote environmental stewardship, and build a stronger, safer, and more self-sufficient community.
A Few Things to Know:
Tickets are free, but space is limited—please reserve in advance.
Each month features a different repair category. Before booking, be sure to check which type of items are being repaired that month, as not all categories are offered every session.
Let’s work together to reduce waste, share knowledge, and extend the life of the things we own—one repair at a time.
