Saskatoon Makerspace’s first-ever Sticky Note Show is a celebration of creativity on a tiny scale, and everyone is invited to participate.
Artists of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels are invited to create an original artwork on a standard 3" × 3" sticky note. Draw, paint, print, collage or experiment with mixed media. From detailed illustrations and abstract compositions to playful experiments and personal stories, every creative approach is welcome. On Saturday November 21st 2026, the artworks will come together at Saskatoon Makerspace for a colourful, one-of-a-kind exhibition and fundraiser.
The Sticky Note Show is a fundraiser for Saskatoon Makerspace, and artists are donating their work to support the organization. Proceeds will go toward new equipment, facility upgrades, community programming and keeping memberships, classes and other creative opportunities affordable.
Each artwork will be sold for $20, and all funds raised from the artworks at the Sticky Note Show will go directly towards helping Saskatoon Makerspace grow by upgrading equipment and facilities, expanding community programming and keeping their offerings affordable and accessible to makers of all ages and experience.

Sticky Note Show grew from an idea by Tennille Corbett, whose enthusiasm and volunteer efforts are helping bring the show to life.

Artwork will be displayed anonymously and available for $20 each, inviting you to choose an artwork you connect with art before discovering who made it. Artists will be revealed after the show.
Every purchase supports Saskatoon Makerspace. Funds raised will go towards upgrading tools, equipment and facitilies, expand community programming and keep creative opportunities affordable and accessible.
Unsold artworks will become part of a permanent display at Saskatoon Makerspace.

Artists of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels are welcome to take part. You do not need to be a Saskatoon Makerspace member or a professional artist to submit work.

Complete the artist pledge form by October 24th, 2026, and let us know how many pieces you plan to submit. Pledging helps Saskatoon Makerspace plan the exhibition and reserve space for your artwork.

No. Artists can participate from anywhere. You do not need to live in Saskatoon or Saskatchewan, provided your artwork is delivered or mailed to Saskatoon Makerspace to arrive by the submission deadline of October 31st, 2026.

Artists may submit up to 10 sticky note artworks. Each piece must be created on its own standard three-by-three-inch sticky note.

Drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, photography, mixed media and any other approaches are welcome. Artwork must fit on a three-by-three-inch sticky note and be light enough to display safely.
Please avoid artwork containing wet materials, loose glitter, sharp objects, excessive thickness or anything that could damage nearby pieces. If you’re unsure about a material, feel free to reach out and ask.

Yes. The finished artwork must be created on a three-by-three-inch sticky note. Please do not mount the sticky note on another surface. The finished artwork should be provided with three clean sticky notes behind it so we’re not directly attaching your artwork to the wall for the event.

Completed artwork must arrive at Saskatoon Makerspace no later than October 31st, 2026. Artists mailing their work should send it early enough to ensure it arrives before the deadline.

Attach each final artwork sticky note on three clean sticky notes, then place each artwork between two clean sheets of paper, cardstock or lightweight cardboard to prevent bending, folding or sticking during shipping. Do not laminate the artwork or place tape directly on the front.
Include the following information on a separate sheet inside the package:
Artist’s name
Email address and phone number
Title of each artwork
Number of pieces included
Please do not write your name on the front of the artwork, as all pieces will initially be displayed anonymously.

No, not during the Sticky Note Show. Artwork will be displayed anonymously so guests choose pieces based on what they connect with rather than the artist’s name. Artists will be revealed after the show, creating a second opportunity to celebrate and share the work.

Absolutely. Participating artists are encouraged to attend the Sticky Note Show on Saturday November 21st, 2026, at Saskatoon Makerspace. Artists are also welcome to invite friends, family and supporters.

No. Artists may participate by dropping off or mailing their work and do not need to attend the event in person.

For sure. Participating artists are welcome to purchase work created by other artists. All pieces will be available for $20 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Any unsold work will become part of a permanent artwork display at Saskatoon Makerspace, and may be used for future fundraising events.

Yes. A clear, well-lit photo of each completed piece is required for the commemorative poster and may also be used to promote the Sticky Note Show through Saskatoon Makerspace’s website, social media, email communications and other promotional materials. After submitting your artist agreement, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Photo Submission Form.
Please upload your photos by October 31st, 2026 via the Photo Submission Form that you can access here. Submit one photo per piece showing the full three-by-three-inch artwork in JPG or PNG format. Name each file with your name and a title of each piece when submitting multiple pieces, such as JaneDoe_title1.jpg and JaneDoe_title2.jpg.
Artists will retain copyright to their original work.

Artists are encouraged to submit original concepts and imagery. Please avoid copying another artist’s work or using protected logos, characters or designs unless you have permission to do so.

Artwork should be suitable for a public, all-ages event. Saskatoon Makerspace reserves the right not to display work containing discriminatory, hateful, threatening or otherwise inappropriate content.

Yes. Collaborative work is welcome, provided all contributing artists are credited on the submission form and the finished piece fits on one three-by-three-inch sticky note.

Yes, absolutely. Participating artists are encouraged to share that they are part of the Sticky Note Show and to post teasers or behind-the-scenes glimpses of their works in progress. Because the finished artworks will be displayed anonymously until after the show, please avoid sharing a complete image of your final piece in advance.

Yes. Young artists are welcome to submit work. A parent, guardian, teacher or group leader may complete the pledge form and coordinate delivery on their behalf.

Yes. Schools, classrooms, community organizations and youth groups are encouraged to take part. Groups submitting a large number of pieces should contact Saskatoon Makerspace in advance so the team can help coordinate the submission.
